we decided recently that we were going to try out boston organics, a produce delivery service that actually operates out of c-town. we signed up to receive the small box (which actually comes in a GIGANTIC green crate, nothing “small” about it) every other week with a 50/50 split of veggies and fruit – most of which are locally-grown – and couldn’t be happier. the contents are seasonal so in addition to a pint of blueberries (so plump and juicy), we also got some great sweet corn and some amazing heirloom tomatoes. i have to say that i’ve never had a green tomato before (i know, blasphemy) and i don’t think i ever want tomato season to end. soooo good. and each crate comes with a bunch of tips for storing items, great recipes and actual specifics as to where the produce comes from. such a good find. can’t wait for our next delivery…
